The Thottakaran Vaidyan family has a rich legacy in Ayurveda, spanning over 1000 years. Founded by Krishnan Vaidyan, the family’s tradition has been carried forward through generations. His son, Rajagopalan Vaidyan, a distinguished Ayurvedic practitioner, was honoured with the prestigious Padmasree award for his outstanding contributions to Ayurvedic science. The family’s tradition was continued by his son, Dr. Krishnan, and subsequently by his grandson, Dr. Rajagopal Krishnan, who has expanded the family’s focus to include Ayurvedic treatments for cancer and autoimmune disorders.

The MP Krishnan Vaidyan Memorial SKVA Pharmacy, established by the family, is a testament to their commitment to Ayurveda. The pharmacy adheres to stringent quality standards, manufacturing a range of traditional medicines, including hand-rolled pills, tablets, and kashayas. Notably, their production process utilizes well water in kashaya preparation and eschews preservatives, ensuring the purity and potency of their products.
